Spirou Charleroi signs Courtney Sims and Brent Wright

Current Belgian champion, Spirou Charleroi, has signed two players to try to win again the title. American center Courtney Sims, who was recently released by Puerto Rican team Capitanes de Arecibo, is one of them. The other one is American forward Brent Wright, who was playing in Iran. Wright will be back to Belgium after playing years ago in Oostende.

FMP Zeleznik adds Filip Videnov and Duane Woodward

Serbian team FMP Zeleznik has inked two new player for the roster to face the last stage of the Serbian Super League. As expected, Filip Videnov is one of them. The Bulgarian guard left recently Red Star. The other one is American guard Duane Woodward, who was playing in Lebanon for Mouhated. Both players will practice with the team, though no contract has been signed yet.

Xacobeo Blu:Sens is looking for a big man to strenghten the frontcourt in the last games of the season. The Montenegrin forward arrived to Caja Laboral after leaving his former team, Union Olimpija. Unicaja asks for Gary Neal, suspended by Benetton

Unicaja, still waiting for the counter-test to confirm the Juan Dixon positive testing by nandrolona, is already looking for a possible subsititute for the American guard. The Spanish team has showed interest for Gary Neal, the top scorer in the Italian Lega A, who was suspended by the Benetton Treviso yesterday due to disciplinary reasons.

Oklahoma City Thunder, to sign Mustafa Shakur for the rest of the season

Despite of not playing a single game with the Oklahoma City Thunder during his last 10-day contract, Mustafa Shakur will be signed by the NBA franchise for the rest of the season. The guard was back to his D-League team, the Tulsa 66ers, after not being extended by the Thunder. The 66ers have already signed JaJuan Smith to replace Shakur.

Tulsa 66ers acquire JaJuan Smith

The Tulsa 66ers have announced the acquisition of guard JaJuan Smith. Former University of Tennessee player has played in France (Pau-Orthez), Brazil (Pitagoras / Minas Tenis Clube) and Spain (Beirasar Rosalía) during his professional career, after playing with the Dallas Mavericks in the 2008 and 2009 Summer Leagues.

Washington Wizards sign Cartier Martin to a 10-day contract

As expected, the Washington Wizards have announced that forward Cartier Martin was signed to a 10-day contract. Martin was called up from the Iowa Energy, and will play for the second time this season in the NBA, after two consecutive 10-day contracts with the Golden State Warriors. 26-year-old player started the season in Italy with the Benetton Treviso.

Olympia Larisa, out of the Greek A1 championship

Olympia Larisa won't play any other game in the Greek A1 this season, after the decision of the Comission of Profesional Sports to revoke his license due to the debts of the club. That will mean the relegation of Olympia to A2 for next season, and probably the releasement of all the players of the team roster.

Benetton Treviso signs Bobby Dixon, and suspends Gary Neal

Benetton Treviso has announced the signing of a former player of the team, guard Bobby Dixon. The 27-year-old player started the season with ASVEL Villeurbanne, but was waived by the French team. After rumors that linked Dixon with Lottomatica Roma, finally the playmaker will land in Benetton. The Italian team also suspended guard Gary Neal due to disciplinary reasons, and his future in Treviso is uncertain.

Kansas State center Luis Colón, to land in the Mets de Guaynabo

Luis Colón, the Puerto Rican center of Kansas State University, will be back to his homecountry to play for the Mets de Guaynabo. 23-year-old player averaged 2.9 points and 3.8 rebounds in his senior year with the Wildcats. The Mets hope Colón to be available with the team next Tuesday.
