Lottomatica Roma, the dark horse in the race to sign Igor Rakocevic

After days of rumors about the arrival of Igor Rakocevic to Unicaja (constantly denied by the Serbian player), another team is in the mix to hire Efes Pilsen player. Italian team Lottomatica Roma, who has just transfered Ricky Minard to Khimki, could add Rakocevic to the roster instead of Bobby Dixon, the main target in the last days.

Golden State Warriors sign Reggie Williams for a second 10-day contract

After being signed by Golden State Warriors for a 10-day contract, forward Reggie Williams has impressed with his performances, including a 28-point game against New Orleans. The Warriors have announced that Williams, as expected, was signed to a second 10-day contract to prove he's a NBA level player.

Lottomatica Roma, also interested in Jamont Gordon, who has offers from Russia and Spain

Caja Laboral is not the only team interested in the American guard Jamont Gordon, currently playing for Cibona. Sources told THE HOOPS MARKET that Italian team Lottomatica Roma will make an offer for 22-year-old player, and other Russian and Spanish teams (besides Caja Laboral), will try to sign Gordon next year.

Ventspils waives Jamaal Tatum and signs Vedran Princ

American guard Jamaal Tatum was waived by Latvian team Ventspils due to health problems who has forced his leaving after just 5 games played. Tatum, who arrived from Cholet after a succesful try-out, averaged 10.8 points and 2.6 rebounds with Ventspils. His replacement will be former Cibona player Vedran Princ. 27-year-old Croatian guard was released in January by Cibona, and will join coach Silvano Poropat and center Mateo Kedzo, also from Croatia.

VEF Riga signs Craig Bradshaw

Latvian team VEF Riga signed New Zealand player Craig Bradshaw for the rest of the season. 26-year-old center was playing for Gold Coast Blaze, in the Australian NBL, averaging 7.1 points and 3.5 rebounds. Bradsway also played in 2008 for two European teams (Efes Pilsen and Baloncesto León) before moving to South Korea, and then to Australia.

Hapoel Alufa landed Steffon Bradford

Finally, Steffon Bradford won't play in Galil Gilboa despite of the rumors. 32-year-old forward, recently released by Dijon, will play for another Israel team, Hapoel Alufa, for the rest of the season. Last season, Bradford played in Poland.

Khimki signs Ricky Minard

Khimki have announced that American player Ricky Minard was signed for the rest of the season. 27-year old guard was playing for Italian team Lottomatica Roma. This movement would imply that Bobby Dixon would sign for Lottomatica Roma to take the spot left by Minard. Carlos Cabezas or Raúl López were reported to leave the team after the arrival of Minard to the Russian team.

AB Latina waives Davorin Delipagic

Italian LegaDue team has waived 33-year-old player Davorin Delipagic, son of the Yugoslavian legend Drazen Delipagic. Last season, the Slovenian forward played in Cyprus for Etha Engomis and in this one averaged 9.8 points and 6 rebounds, and is now a free agent.

Boca Juniors signs David Patten and Martín Müller, and waives Grady Reynolds and Sebastián Castiñeira

Boca Juniors decided to waive Grady Reynolds and Sebastián Castiñeira, and signed forward David Patten and guard Martín Müller. Patten has played this season for Abejas de Guanajuato, in Mexico, while Müller was waived in January by Quimsa, after averaging 5.8 points and 1.7 assists.

Mike Sweetney, acquired by Erie BayHawks

Former NBA player Mike Sweetney was acquired by D-League franchise Erie BayHawks. Sweetney played briefly for Chinese team Shanxi Zhongyu after failing to get a spot in Boston Celtics roster last preseason, especially due to his overweight. Former 8th pick in 2003 played four years in the NBA between New York and Chicago.
