Boston Celtics in talks to send Glen Davis to Charlotte in exchange of D.J. Augustin

Boston Celtics want a reserve point guard for Rajon Rondo, and have offered forward Glen Davis to Charlotte Bobcats to get sophomore guard D.J. Augustin in exchange. D.J. Augustin isn't happy in Charlotte due to the lack of confidence of his coach, Larry Brown, while Glen Davis missed the first 27 games to the season after breaking his thumb in a stupid fight with a friend.

Lietuvos Rytas signs Aidas Viskontas to loan him to Perlas Vilnius

Lietuvos Rytas signed guard Aidas Viskontas to a two and half year contract. Viskontas was playing for Techasas, through he was recovering from an injury and he just could play two games this season, with impressive numbers through. Viskontas will be loaned until the end of the season to affiliated Lietuvos Rytas team, Perlas Vilnius.

Montepaschi Siena signs Uros Slokar

Montepaschi Siena has reached an agreement with Slovenian center Uros Slokar, who just have left his former team Union Olimpija. Slokar will strenghten the frontcourt of Montepaschi for the second half of Lega A and the final rounds of Euroleague. 26-year-old player will arrive tomorrow to Siena.

Vanoli Cremona fires head coach Stefano Cioppi and signs AttilIo Caja as his replacement

Vanoli Cremona has decided to change his head coach. Italian team fired Stefano Coppi, and signed Attilio Caja to replace him. Coppi was the coach that guided Cremona to Lega A, but the club has decided to bring an experienced coach like Caja, who has been in charge of teams such as Virtus Roma, Olimpia Milano or Scavolini Pesaro. Last team he coached was Snaidero Udine in 2008. Cremona also decided days ago to release Panamian guard Gary Forbes and sign Rashad Anderson, after failing in bringing to the team Matt Walsh.

Golden State Warriors won't extend Coby Karl 10-day contract

Golden State Warriors won't resign Coby Karl for a second 10-day contract. The forward signed days ago to replace Cartier Martin, who wasn't resigned for the rest of the season after two 10-days contract. Karl was called up from D-League team Idaho Stampede (where he arrived after being waived by Cleveland in early January) and in his 4 games with the Warriors is averaging 7.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 27 minutes.

Uros Slokar and Union Olimpija part ways

Uros Slokar is no longer player of Union Olimpija, after agreeing with the Slovenian team the termination of his contract. Slokar decided to leave due to an offer from Italy (probably Montepaschi Siena) he couldn't refuse, especially with the dificult financial situation of Olimpija. Slokar, who was under CB Granada radar weeks ago, would be back to Italy after playing for Snaidero Udine, Benetton Treviso and Fortitudo Bologna.

Rafael Hettsheimeir will return to CAI Zaragoza

Brazilian center Rafael Hettsheimeir, currently injured, will return to his current team, Spanish LEB Oro team CAI Zaragoza, after finishing his loan to ACB squad Xacobeo Blu:Sens, despite the will of Xacobeo and the player to remain in the top league. CAI Zaragoza will test Hettsheimeir to test his rehabilitation.

Houston Rockets want to add Sergio Llull next season

Daryl Morey, General Manager of Houston Rockets, would like to add Spanish guard Sergio Llull next season. Morey considers Llull, currently playing for Real Madrid, a combo guard with NBA level. 22-year-old player was selected in 2009 NBA draft by Houston Rockets in second round, and his contract with Real Madrid expires in 2011.

Croatian team Kastela decided to fire head coach Predrag Kruscic due to the bad results. Kastela is currently at the bottom of the Croatian A1 with just 3 victories in 14 victories, tied in the last position with Sibenik. Kruscic has been Kastela coach since 2008-09 season.

Chris Anstey announces his retirement

Australian center Chris Anstey retires from basketball. One of the best players in his home country history was playing since 2005 for NBL team Melbourne Tigers, but is especially known due to his three seasons in the NBA, two in Dallas Mavericks and one in Chicago Bulls. 35-year-old center also played in Russia (Ural Great and Unics Kazan) for three years.

Houston Rockets sign Garrett Temple; Rio Grande Valley Vipers re-acquire Will Conroy and sign Russell Carter

Houston Rockets have officialy signed forward Garrett Temple for a 10-day contract, as expected. That decision means too that Will Conroy won't see his contract extended, and has been re-acquired by his D-League franchise, Rio Grande Valley Vipers, to fill the void left by Temple. Vipers also signed guard Russell Carter, who started the season with Austin Toros.

Veteran coach Mete Babaoglu is the new Mersin Buyuksehir coach. Babaoglu was hired by the Turkish team after Ahmet Kandemir's resignation. Babaoglu has a huge experience in Turkish league, training since 1982 teams like Tofas, Oyak Renault, Karsiyaka and Banvit.
