Stefano Rusconi retires

Stefano Rusconi has confirmed in an interview his retirement after 24 years as a professional. The 41-year-old center made his debut in the Italian league in 1986 for Varese, and was known to be one of the first Italian players to make the NBA, where he played seven games during the 1995-96 season for the Phoenix Suns. Rusconi agreed recently to play for Royal Castellanza Legnano, in the Italian B Dilettanti league, but has finally decided not to start the season and call it a career.
