San Antonio Spurs sign Tiago Splitter

As expected, the San Antonio Spurs have announced officially the signing of Tiago Splitter. The Brazilian 25-year-old center, MVP of the last ACB league, was selected by the Spurs with the 28th overall pick in the 2007 draft. Splitter has played since 2000 for Caja Laboral, averaging 15.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, leading his team to win the Spanish championship.

UPDATE: Splitter was signed by the Spurs to a three-year, $11 million contract.
