Mets de Guaynabo sign Matt Freije to replace definitely Marcus Fizer

The Mets de Guaynabo have signed Matt Freije to replace Marcus Fizer, who was definitely released by the Puerto Rican team. Fizer arrived to the Mets last February, but his physical problems didn't allow him to succeed in his stint in Puerto Rico, averaging 13.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. His replacement, Matt Freije, arrives from the Lebanese league. The 28-year-old forward, who played for two seasons in the NBA with the New Orleans Hornets and the Atlanta Hawks, is back to Puerto Rico after playing the last two seasons for the Leones de Ponce and the Criollos de Caguas.
