Salva Guardia and Bizkaia Bilbao Basket part ways.

It's official. Salva Guardia was released by Bilbao Basket, after a year and a half in the team. Guardia signed until the end of this season, but won't finish it in Bilbao. The Reno Bighorns have acquired guard Will Blalock from the Maine Red Claws in exchange for guard Russell Robinson. Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Critterton, suspended for the rest of the season by the NBA

NBA commissioner David Stern has suspended Gilbert Arenas for the rest of the season, and the Washington Wizards' star guard has told associates that he will not appeal the league's decision, according to a league source. Crittenton also was suspended for the rest of the season in the decision handed down Wednesday afternoon. Both players pleaded guilty of an incident in Wizards locker involving guns.

Utah Jazz to re-assign Kosta Koufos to the D-League

Utah Jazz plan on reassigning the second-year center Kosta Koufos to their D-League affiliate, the Utah Flash. The international Greek player is playing just 3.6 minutes per game this season for the Jazz. This would be the second time Koufos plays for Utah Flash. Last year, he averaged 16.7 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 2.0 assists before begin recalled after 10 games.

Flinder Boyd is back to UK and joined Newcastle Eagles

International British guard Flinder Boyd is back to the British Basketball League after joining Newcastle Eagles. Golden State will call-up Anthony Tolliver from the D-League

Golden State Warriors, in serious problems with injuries, are expected to call-up center Anthony Tolliver from the D-League. Tolliver plays for Idaho Stampede (averaging 21.4 points and 11.4 rebounds). This would be the second call-up for the center, who played in Portland after the injuries of Greg Oden and Joel Przbylla, but was waived just a few days after.

Germán Gabriel extends his contract with Estudiantes until the end of the season

In an interview to the Spanish website Piratas del Basket, Spanish forward-center Germán Gabriel confirmed that he has signed the extension of the temporary contract he signed with Estudiantes until the end of the season. The point guard Sundiata Gaines (23) will continue playing with the Utah Jazz for a second 10-days contract.
